The movie "The Thin Red Line", in a paragraph

While the constant, incoherent narrating of some of the characters gets annoying and pointless quite quickly, the movie makes an understated and artfully restrained use of its star actors, while providing a graphic, sobering closeup on the horrors of battle. Grade: A-
